Hello my name is Ann the I am a mother of 2 teenage girls (1 pescatarian & 1 vegan) & this is a little about a chapter of my life that started 2010/11 during a prolonged bad winter in Scotland.
I have osteoarthritis which causes me varying levels of discomfort including pain & stiffness but I am unable to take anti inflammatory drugs on a regular basis as I also have high blood pressure. During that prolonged cold spell, I decided to explore what natural alternatives were available & purchased 5ml of a pure essential oils blend to dilute into a carrier/base oil for safe skin application from a holistic shop. The lady would not tell me when asked what essential oils were in the blend (which I later found out was a little 'unethical') but it started me on a mission to find out since I was amazed that the blend did indeed calm my joint pain. Before this, I did not know much about essential oils apart from lavender being good for relaxation & the widely known benefits of tea tree.

This led to hours / days / months / years of research & education of essential oil benefits / properties, obviously including any cautionary aspects, experimenting with different carrier oils too, learning what works best, where & why. After oils I decided to challenge myself with natural butters.
All during this time, my 'hobby' was a welcomed distraction, possibly even a form of therapy as my Mum was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, I appreciated having that last 18 months seeing her daily but it was a very stressful & emotional time. After Mum died I spent many hours caring for my Dad who's dementia 'confusion' worsened with the grief of losing his wife & soulmate of 50+ years.
Dad was eventually reunited with Mum within 3 years.
That was back in December 2014 & I can almost hear my Mum telling me it's my time now. She was always very supportive (No.1 fan of my nail oil!) & a hugely encouraging influence in my life. So, leaving my my regular paying day job (Social Work sector for the last 20 years) in late 2016, I have ventured into self employment, confident of taking my 'destiny' into my own hands / starting a new adventure.
What a did not expect was the 'journey to me' as in discovering what made me 'tick', how my beliefs & choices had created my own 'reality' in many respects... the inner self discovery & understanding of my life path.

What started off with a simple pain/ easing / calming massage oil for myself has evolved into making complicated all natural moisturisers, lipsticks & a profound insight / healing journey / some may say spiritual, into the importance of appreciating ME.
I now choose to share that with YOU
wishing you all inner love &
an abundance of appreciated moments
Ann
